Inclusive Yoga and Stillness

We empower students from all backgrounds and experiences to find their unique balance between slowing down and moving forward, fostering physical, mental, and emotional well-being through connecting with our bodies and being still with our thoughts.

Some say yoga is too easy—a gentle practice that doesn’t challenge. Some say yoga is too challenging—a physical practice made only for the most athletic or flexible among us. Our stance is that yoga is for everyone and can be what you need it to be…and more.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Hi, I’m Cory!

For years, I lived in a whirlwind, going through the motions of a fast-paced life. I juggled a high-stress desk job with life as a musician. Crossing “go to the gym” off my to-do list and treating movement and exercise as something that I had to do, rather than the holistic and transformational tools I’ve found through yoga. I was working, playing shows, and racing through life. I felt the strain, stress, and exhaustion, but never slowed down to realize it.

Then, in 2020, after a layoff and at the start of a global pandemic, I, along with most of the world, was forced into stillness. After years away from an occasional yoga practice, I returned to movement through virtual and eventually in-person classes.

Yoga became a way for me to reflect, evaluate, and rediscover the balance I was missing in my life, and I believe everyone can benefit from finding their unique balance between moving fast and slowing down.

That’s why I founded Seagrass Stillness & Yoga, where we embrace yoga not just as exercise but as a holistic practice for mind, body, & heart that is accessible to any and all.

What We Believe

A man with long hair and tattoos practicing aerial yoga in a purple hammock and on a purple mat, resting on his elbows with his chin on his hands, smiling at the camera in a dimly lit room.
  • We believe in developing deep connections and relationships with our clients, partners, practitioners, and community. We take time to listen to their lived experience and celebrate their journey.

  • We honor your right to lead your own practice. You decide if and how you move, and how you spend your time and energy—physically, emotionally, and mentally.

  • We strive to continuously deepen our understanding of movement, Yoga, and wellness. We are lifelong learners who slow down to ask questions, get clarity, and seek new opportunities.

  • Life isn’t black and white, and neither is yoga. We believe that every day is different and where you were yesterday may not be where you are today.

  • We believe yoga and movement should be enjoyable. We balance our commitment to our practice with moments of levity through personal anecdotes and lighthearted humor.
